The free apps are not free. They pay for themselves with your photos, your contacts, your location, and a subscription wall in front of your own memories.
You want software that does one job well, keeps what it learns on your own device, and does not need an account to be useful.

The questions you are already asking.
How are these free?
Most of them are supported by optional tips and by the commercial products on this site. Tips never unlock features. The apps ask once, politely, at the moment they have been useful.
Where does my data go?
For the on-device apps, nowhere. StubSafe never sends payroll data anywhere. Kavanah encrypts photos on your phone and backs them up to a cloud account you own.
Are there ads?
No ad networks, no analytics brokers, no trackers, on any product.
How it starts
