Live Privacy-first Real state APLs

Spend every WIC dollar before it expires — privately.

WIC Companion turns a confusing benefit into a simple in-store tool. It checks products against your state's real Approved Product List, builds a trip plan from your remaining benefit categories, shows live per-store stock and aisle location where a retailer integration exists, and emails you before a category expires unused. It's the privacy-first alternative to the usual WIC app — no ad SDKs, no tracking, and it never shares identity-linked participant data. It does the rule-checking for you, so a benefit you earned never expires just because the rules were too hard to track in the aisle.

The problem

Benefits expire because the rules are impossible to track in the aisle.

WIC only covers specific products, in specific sizes, under state-specific rules — and benefits expire monthly. Families lose real money to a benefit they earned simply because they can't tell, standing in the store, whether an item qualifies. And the popular app that helps is widely criticized for tracking and ads.

WIC Companion answers "does this qualify?" instantly against your state's real list, plans the trip around what's expiring, and does it without surveilling a low-income, heavily Spanish-speaking population.

Privacy as the whole point

  • No ad SDKs, no third-party tracking
  • Never shares identity-linked participant data
  • Email + balance encrypted (AES-256-GCM + blind index)
  • Hardened after an audit (was root + in-memory sessions)

Capabilities

Know what qualifies. Spend it in time.

🔐

Real accounts

Full accounts with scrypt hashing, password reset, and one-button self-delete.

partialencryption — stated plainly, not hidden
Honest about its edges. Encryption is partial by design (email and balance are encrypted; category and expiry stay plaintext for query constraints), Spanish is not yet complete, and the New York APL isn't ingested — all stated plainly. Retailer providers sit behind an interface: Kroger is a real certified integration; Walmart is a deliberate stub; Safeway is blocked on access.

Don't leave WIC dollars on the table.

Your state's real approved list, live store stock, and expiration reminders — without the ads and tracking.
