ASL Verifier Privacy Notice
This notice explains how ASL Verifier collects, uses and protects information, and supplements the Auto Secure Login Privacy Policy. Both apply; where this notice gives more detail or protection for ASL Verifier, it controls for ASL Verifier.
What it collects
- A live face image and the face on the person’s own identity document, held in working memory for one request and then cleared
- A record of the decision with a keyed one-way subject digest — no image and no face template
Why it is used
To compare a person to their own ID, one to one, as advisory evidence for a separate system.
Where it lives and where it goes
There is no upload folder and no retention path. It never searches a database and never authorizes a sign-in on its own.
Who else receives it
- None
How long it is kept
Images: the length of one request. Decision records: as the connecting application requires.
Sensitive information
A face image, used and dropped.
Your choices
Requests about a decision record go to the application that used Verifier; we help it respond.
