ASL Meet Terms of Service

These app-specific terms (“App Terms”) govern use of ASL Meet, a privacy-focused service for one-to-one and small-group video meetings, account-free guest links, live chat, and optional local recording or screenshots.

Relationship to the Master Terms

These App Terms supplement and are incorporated into the Auto Secure Login Master Terms of Service. Both documents apply. If they conflict, these App Terms control only for ASL Meet and the conflicting subject.

Hosts, guests, and meeting links

  • Hosts must use an authorized account and are responsible for deciding who receives a meeting link or code.
  • Invited guests may join without an account by providing a display name. A link or code may be used by anyone who receives it until the room is locked or ended.
  • Hosts should lock rooms after expected participants arrive and remove anyone who is not authorized to participate.
  • You may not use ASL Meet for harassment, unlawful surveillance, impersonation, prohibited content, unauthorized access, or any other unlawful purpose.

Media, relay service, and storage boundaries

  • WebRTC encrypts call media in transit. Connections prefer direct peer-to-peer paths; a TURN service may relay encrypted packets when a direct path is unavailable.
  • ASL Meet does not promise that every call will connect, remain uninterrupted, or achieve a particular audio or video quality.
  • ASL Meet does not create or store server-side call recordings, screenshots, or chat history. Limited account, room, session, security, and operational metadata may be processed or retained to provide and protect the service.
  • The current peer-to-peer beta is intended for one-to-one and small-group use and may enforce participant limits.

Local recording, screenshots, and consent

A participant may choose device-side recording or screenshots. Those files are created on that participant’s device and are outside Auto Secure Login’s possession and control. The person recording, capturing, downloading, or sharing content is responsible for obtaining all notices, permissions, and consents required by applicable law and by every participant. An in-product notice does not replace legal consent.

Safety, professional use, and minors

ASL Meet is not an emergency service, healthcare service, legal service, or substitute for a regulated communications system. Do not rely on it for emergency communications or use it for regulated or highly sensitive meetings unless a separate written agreement expressly authorizes that use. A parent, guardian, or authorized organization is responsible for any permitted participation by a minor.

Availability and preview services

ASL Meet is a beta service. Features, limits, browser support, relay availability, and interfaces may change, contain errors, or stop without notice. Camera, microphone, screen sharing, notifications, and local downloads depend on the participant’s browser, device, permissions, and network.

Privacy, communications, and contact

The Privacy Policy explains information handling. Any SMS or MMS messaging requires separate consent and is governed by the SMS and MMS Terms. Review the ASL Meet project page or use the contact form with questions.
