Kavanah Journal Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Kavanah Journal collects, uses and protects information, and supplements the Auto Secure Login Privacy Policy. Both apply; where this notice gives more detail or protection for Kavanah Journal, it controls for Kavanah Journal.

What it collects

• Journal text, photos, milestones, appointments and other journal content stored locally by the app on your device
• Photos sealed on your device under a key derived from a passphrase only you hold
• Nothing from the journal is uploaded to ASL-operated online storage or a Kavanah cloud-backup service

Why it is used

To keep a private family journal that you control.

Where it lives and where it goes

Journal content remains in local app storage on your device. Kavanah does not maintain an online copy and does not connect journal data to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or DigitalOcean Spaces. If you create an export, your device's file picker controls where that user-directed file goes.

Who else receives it

No online-storage provider receives journal content from Kavanah. A person receives only a sealed package that you deliberately create and send to them.

How long it is kept

On your device until you delete entries, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. A forgotten passphrase cannot be recovered by anyone, including us, and ASL cannot restore local data after it is erased.

Sensitive information

Photographs and observations about children, recorded by their own parents and caregivers.

Your choices

Create a local export through your device's file picker or delete entries and local app data. Contact contact@autosecurelogin.com for privacy questions, but do not send journal content or a passphrase.
