ASL ADB Assist Privacy Notice
This notice explains how ASL ADB Assist handles information, and supplements the Auto Secure Login Privacy Policy. Both apply; where this notice gives more detail or protection for ASL ADB Assist, it controls for ASL ADB Assist.
What it collects
- Nothing is collected, and nothing is sent anywhere
- The app stores one setting on your device: whether you chose English or Spanish
- It reads your device model, Android version, and whether Developer options and USB debugging are switched on, in order to display them to you on screen. These are read each time you open the app and are never written down or transmitted
Why it is used
To show you the current state of the settings involved in connecting a phone to a trusted computer, to open the right Android settings screens, and to hold the display on for up to thirty minutes while you work.
Where it lives and where it goes
It goes nowhere. ASL ADB Assist requests no Android permissions at all, including no network permission. Without the INTERNET permission, Android will not allow the app to open a network connection, so it is incapable of transmitting anything. You can confirm this yourself in Settings, under the app's permissions.
Who else receives it
- None. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no crash reporting
How long it is kept
The language setting is kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Nothing else is kept at all.
Your choices
Clear the app's data or uninstall it. Because nothing leaves the device, there is nothing held elsewhere for us to delete on request.
