ShopFit: review supplier photos without treating every similar image as a duplicate
Photo tooling works from supplier references and current galleries, preserving the distinction between a repeated file and a useful alternate view.
Work covered: Oct 6, 2026 – Oct 8, 2026
A larger image set still needs curation
Supplier photo work during October addressed how catalog pictures are collected, compared and connected to the store’s current galleries. More files are not automatically more useful: repeated pictures add clutter, while a genuinely different view can help a shopper understand the product. The workflow needs to preserve that distinction.
Start from identifiable supplier material
The tools can prepare picture lists from supplier sheets and correct simple filename inconsistencies that otherwise prevent a reference from matching. Existing local copies can be used before retrieving the same material again. The review also reads the live gallery rather than assuming an older saved inventory still describes what the product currently shows.
Protect useful differences
The period’s work distinguished duplicate pictures from variants and treated existing owner images as material to preserve during review. A different background or alternate view should not disappear simply because the images resemble each other. The goal is a considered gallery plan, not the largest possible download or an indiscriminate cleanup.
What this milestone means
The record includes tested supplier-photo tooling and use within approved catalog work. It does not grant new rights to arbitrary images or announce automatic gallery replacement for every store. It gives the owner a more reliable way to connect known supplier pictures with the current product gallery and review what should be kept, added or left alone.
