ShopFit: make a bundle’s savings real, then check the result
Bundle review now compares the advertised package against its current parts and recorded costs, including cases where the usual discount cannot fit.
Work covered: Oct 6, 2026 – Oct 7, 2026
A bundle should have an understandable advantage
A collection sold as a bundle can quietly lose its savings when component prices change. During October’s work, ShopFit added a clearer comparison between the package price, the current sum of its parts and the recorded cost of those parts. This makes the advertised benefit something the owner can verify rather than assume from the word “bundle.”
Handle the difficult cases explicitly
The reviewed pricing rule aimed for the usual percentage saving where the margin permitted it. A later owner decision added a small minimum saving when that percentage could not fit, while still protecting the recorded cost boundary. Items already at or below cost require separate treatment. These are chosen business rules for an approved workflow, not a universal recommendation for every store.
Check without changing prices
A separate read-only bundle check reports whether each current package meets its savings and cost conditions. The recorded acceptance verified the approved set and confirmed that an immediate repeat would propose no changes. That distinction matters: the owner can inspect the current position without initiating another pricing run.
Part of a deliberate review
Bundle updates were moved to an owner-started process during this period. A reminder can prompt a review, but it does not change prices. The milestone combines a clearer rule, a check of the actual stored prices and an explicit decision about when to apply it—useful protection against both stale savings claims and unnoticed margin changes.
