VoiceLab: give the officer’s home and commute their own sound

New home ambience, household events, floor sounds and car sequences extend the game audio beyond the institution.

Work covered: Oct 5, 2026 – Oct 6, 2026

A new place creates a real audio gap

When Bars or Badge added the officer’s house, the earlier institution pack no longer covered the whole world. VoiceLab’s October 5 work filled the nine home-room gaps with their own quiet ambience. Road sound beyond the windows, a refrigerator and a bathroom fan provide a domestic setting without borrowing an institutional crowd.

Small events make the home distinct

The follow-up added household punctuation such as a refrigerator stopping, a cupboard closing and a car beyond the windows. Outdoor work also addressed a winter night and the different space of an open-air fight. Those additions preserve the distinction between a continuous room background and a sound that happens at a particular moment.

Hear the surface and the journey

October 6 added carpet, wood and dry-tile footsteps for the 3D presentation, as well as the officer’s car sequence. Starting a cold engine, leaving, returning to an idle, switching off and opening the door are separate events. The sound can follow the journey rather than playing one generic car clip regardless of what is happening.

Delivery and listening remain separate

The records include generated packs, automated audio checks and integration into the relevant game clients. The owner had not completed listening acceptance for these new sounds at the checkpoint. The milestone therefore establishes coverage and implementation, with the remaining perceptual review stated plainly. It makes the newly playable home audible as its own place.
