Bars or Badge: build the seated motions a card game needs
Five new card-handling clips were carried through the character cast, establishing an animation foundation rather than announcing a finished card game.
Work covered: Oct 8, 2026
Everyday activity needs specific motion
Holding a hand of cards, playing one, gathering a trick, dealing and shuffling are different actions. The October 8 cast rebuild added clips for each of them around the game’s round table. This gives the planned card activity its own physical vocabulary instead of borrowing a generic seated gesture.
Fit the action to the person and the table
The work checked where hands, elbows, forearms, feet and cards sit relative to each body and the tabletop. A movement that looks acceptable on one character can intersect the table or torso on another. The clips were therefore developed across the cast, including the transitions between holding, reaching and releasing.
Rebuild and inspect the actual cast
The resulting rebuild carried the new clips into 98 character models and included checks of the other shared clips. Visual review and measured contact checks accompanied the rebuild. This is a concrete production step: the animation data reached the bodies the game uses rather than remaining a demonstration on a single test character.
What is still separate
At the checkpoint, the in-player card game still required the cards as props, table-game logic, surrounding participants and its own checks. The new clips do not establish that a complete card minigame is playable. They establish the motion foundation for it—a useful milestone worth describing on its own without collapsing animation, rules and final acceptance into one claim.
