ADB Assist improves Android setup guidance and screen behavior
Recent corrections make the utility more dependable across phone layouts, language changes and devices where Developer options are not yet visible.
Work covered: September 25–October 8, 2026
Explain the device in front of you
The September work clarifies manufacturer-specific setup guidance and handles hidden Developer options. Instructions should help a person reach the relevant setting on their own device instead of assuming every Android phone exposes the same menu immediately.
Keep the utility's behavior bounded
Phone scrolling and language recreation were corrected, and a follow-up narrows keep-awake behavior to its intended scope. A setup utility should not require someone to reduce their text size just to reach an instruction or action, and it should not continue influencing the screen outside the workflow it is assisting.
Recorded release status
Android 1.0.3 was verified available to internal testers on September 29. The release record does not claim public availability. The phone and emulator corrections improve the setup experience; they do not bypass Android's authorization requirements or establish that every manufacturer's settings application behaves identically. Public distribution remains a separate step.
