Aegis: check application continuity while expanding protection

Compatibility review makes normal application behavior part of the acceptance process for protection changes.

Work covered: Oct 6, 2026 – Oct 8, 2026

Protection needs an application-level check

A security change should be evaluated alongside the ordinary behavior of the application it affects. Aegis’s October work added more explicit compatibility review and continued checking normal application entry points during its protection rollout. The question is not only whether a control responds, but whether the intended application journey continues to work.

Make the review explainable

The compatibility work organizes observed outcomes so an operator can distinguish expected protection behavior from interference that needs investigation. Historical problems remain recorded rather than being hidden by a later successful run. This creates a more useful acceptance record than a single green status with no explanation of its scope.

Preserve ordinary application work

Live checks during the period verified application entry behavior alongside the protection work. The record also distinguishes activated repairs from candidates still waiting for their own acceptance. This matters when interpreting a progress report: a tested control, a prepared change and a verified live result are different states, even when they appear in the same development week.

Status without exposing operational controls

The period includes live continuity checks and repairs, with unfinished areas retained in the project record. It does not establish universal protection or completion of every planned capability. The separate onboarding article describes preparation for new applications. This public account stays with the reliability outcome and omits underlying protection rules, deployment topology and activation conditions.
