Aegis focuses on actionable notifications and verifiable recovery

Recent reliability work reduces repeated notices and improves the evidence available when an operator needs to investigate or recover.

Work covered: September 25–October 8, 2026

Make a notice useful

Aegis now groups recurring observations more carefully, distinguishes a new issue from a repeat, and records when an issue is resolved. Approved maintenance is recognized so the same reviewed change does not keep appearing as fresh news. Notification reliability and relevance received live verification during the first week of October.

Check recovery, not just collection

Recovery tooling was expanded to verify retained evidence copies and confirm that restored files match their recorded contents. Compatibility work also checks whether protection changes interfere with an application's expected behavior. The private Android companion received a verified maintenance update for its intended operator use.

Keep the scope honest

This is an update on operational reliability and reviewability, not a claim that every threat is prevented or that every planned protection is complete. Additional capabilities retain separate testing and activation requirements. The public summary deliberately omits deployment locations, protection rules, response thresholds and other sensitive operational information.
