Media generation rejects invalid scene requests earlier

The shared media tools now check scene and audio requirements before accepting work into the queue.

Work covered: September 25–October 8, 2026

An accepted request should be meaningful

September changes reject invalid scene requests before queueing. Follow-up work applies the same principle to scene audio and enforces the permitted asset counts for each requested type. These checks distinguish a well-formed request from one that cannot satisfy the selected operation.

Do not mistake a connector for a capability

The integration contract was reviewed across the media tools and FaceOff. An unavailable scene-audio capability remains unavailable instead of becoming implicitly enabled when another component calls it. This helps a consuming app explain why it cannot proceed and avoids treating an accepted upload as proof that generation can finish.

Development status

The work records request-contract and validation improvements through October 5, including a check that disabled scene audio still refuses work. It is not a new public video-model release or a claim that every configured generation option is operational. Output quality, model readiness and end-to-end acceptance remain separate from validating a request correctly.
