FaceScan ties measurements to the camera frame they came from
Recent capture work strengthens the relationship between an image, its dimensions and the face or pose results displayed with it.
Work covered: September 25–October 8, 2026
Keep evidence aligned
October source changes bind face landmarks to the exact camera frame and pose results to that frame's dimensions. A result can be numerically valid yet misleading when paired with a different image or coordinate scale. Keeping those relationships explicit improves the basis for later measurement and review.
Improve the capture journey
The Android candidate also corrects capture-code validation, preserves edited state and improves scrolling beneath phone system controls. Local-copy actions and document saving were reviewed at larger text sizes. Model packaging received compatibility work, with initialization checked on the test device.
Development status
These are capture and source-validation improvements. The records do not establish a completed real-person capture acceptance or a new public Play release. A later candidate version was kept separate from the previously tested package. Better frame alignment does not by itself establish identity-proofing accuracy or authorize collecting anyone's face or body data.
