FaceOff checks scene-audio readiness before an upload
A focused reliability update stops a scene workflow from proceeding on an outdated assumption that its requested audio capability is available.
Work covered: September 25–October 8, 2026
Check before sending the assets
FaceOff added a readiness check before scene-audio uploads, followed by a correction to recheck the worker at the relevant point in the workflow. A previously successful check should not be treated as a permanent guarantee. If the required capability is unavailable, the workflow should stop before moving ahead with the upload.
Keep the character and media contract aligned
This work sits alongside the shared media service's validation of scene requests and audio asset counts. FaceOff remains a reusable character platform rather than a single game's private feature. Its integration needs to respect what the media capability actually accepts instead of assuming that any scene request can be fulfilled.
Development status
The September 25–October 8 source record contains these preflight improvements. It does not establish a new public FaceOff release, unrestricted scene-audio availability or acceptance of every generated character. The change is valuable precisely because it represents an unavailable capability honestly and avoids inviting a user farther into a workflow that cannot currently finish.
