August 6 update: commerce data quality and a shared translation module

A public-safe update on ShopFit data-quality hardening, a platform-shared translation module, an AI Hub data-export path, and better search ranking in Policy Lens.

What changed

August 6 focused on data quality and reuse: ShopFit gained Merchant Center readiness and eliminated a class of pricing bugs, the platform got a shared translation module, AI Hub added a clean data-export path, and Policy Lens improved its ranking again.

01

ShopFit data-quality hardening

ShopFit added a Google Merchant Center identifier readiness analyzer, a collection-schema generator that produces publish-ready content, and product-shape normalization that removes a whole class of pricing bugs.

On the safety side it closed an install-flow replay weakness, moved to a current commerce API version, and fixed two importer bugs that could corrupt data.

Customer-facing outcome

  • Merchant Center identifier readiness analyzer
  • Collection-schema generator with publish-ready content
  • Product-shape normalization that removes pricing-bug classes
  • Closed an install replay weakness; fixed two import data bugs
02

Shared building blocks

A platform-shared text-translation module was introduced so products don't each reinvent bilingual support, along with improved image alt-text checking.

AI Hub added a "take your data out" export endpoint with a completeness trailer, a request audit log, and fail-closed tenancy with backup coverage.

Customer-facing outcome

  • Shared text-translation module across products
  • AI Hub data export with a completeness trailer and audit log
  • Fail-closed tenancy with backup coverage
03

Search and deploy safety

Policy Lens upgraded its re-ranker to pairwise ranking, improving top-1 and top-3 accuracy. Network Sentinel tightened content-security on the SignalLab and BandSight pages and fixed a deploy-rollback safety issue.

Homeless Helper added deploy safety guards, and WIC Companion removed internal connection detail from its public README as basic security hygiene.

Customer-facing outcome

  • Policy Lens pairwise re-ranking for better top-1/top-3 results
  • Content-security and deploy-rollback fixes
  • Security hygiene across community and benefit tools
