Municipal billing and field operations

Connect utility accounts, meters, crews, work orders, billing, and audit in one municipal workspace.

ASL Municipal Utilities is a multi-organization pilot for clerks, field readers, dispatchers, administrators, and council oversight, with mobile meter work and accountable clocked-in location sharing.

The problem this solves

Replace fragmented work with one understandable path.

Meter readings, work orders, timekeeping, customer accounts, payments, fleet activity, and public oversight often live in separate systems. The result is repeated entry and weak accountability. This platform gives each role the information needed for its job while withholding unrelated billing or location data.

How a pilot works

Start small. Verify the workflow. Expand with evidence.

Model the utility

Define services, rate structures, meter lifecycle, roles, work rules, retention, and accounting ownership.

Run a fictional-data evaluation

Exercise billing, meter reads, GPS, adjustments, dispatch, and role boundaries without real residents.

Authorize a real pilot

Complete tenant testing, rate validation, legal review, payment acceptance, recovery, and written municipal authorization.

Trust is part of the product

Honest boundaries build better software.

Municipal workflows require strict tenant and role separation. Clocked-in field location is operational data and should be collected consistently, retained for the documented period, and withheld from roles that do not need it. The Sugar City surface remains explicitly labeled as an unofficial evaluation.

Questions buyers ask

What to know before choosing ASL Municipal Utilities.

Is Sugar City currently an ASL customer?

No. The backup expressly says the Sugar City environment is a private evaluation, not an official municipal service.

Can clerks manage meters and readings?

Yes. Meter search, reading history, addition, and management are part of the product direction.

When is worker location collected?

The documented model collects it for authenticated field readers while clocked in.

Does it support both Stripe and QuickBooks?

The platform direction supports both as organization choices, but production connections require configuration and acceptance.

Is real municipal billing active?

No. Broad real billing remains gated until an authorized customer and production requirements are complete.
