# ASL AMD Hardware Adapter Supplemental Terms Version 2026-09-13.1 Read these terms before using the AMD hardware adapter. Select **Accept AMD terms** only if you agree. Select **Decline AMD adapter** if you do not agree; unrelated ASL features remain available. If acting for an organization, accept only if you are authorized to bind it. Purchasing an app or opening this page does not record acceptance. ## 1. Parties and scope These terms are between ASL LLC (ASL) and you. They cover only ASL.PCSteward.AMD.exe and accompanying AMD-specific adapter material (the Component), including its updates that you install, use or access. The Component supports compatible AMD hardware in ASL PC Steward and ASL AI Hub Master Suite. These terms do not require your other hardware to be AMD hardware. They do not restrict your ownership or use of your own files, generated work or fleet results, or the products' unrelated diagnostics, NVIDIA, broker or AI features. AMD display drivers, SDKs and independently licensed third-party software retain their own terms and are not licensed to you by this agreement. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is an express third-party beneficiary of this agreement and may enforce the provisions protecting AMD and its licensors. ## 2. Limited license Subject to this agreement and your valid ASL product entitlement, ASL grants you a limited, nonexclusive, royalty-free, revocable, nontransferable copyright license to install and use the Component solely with compatible AMD systems or components. There is no separate Component royalty; separate ASL products and services may require payment. Each installation must be permitted by the applicable product entitlement. You may keep reasonable backup copies. No broader right to copy, transfer or distribute the Component, patent license, or ownership of ASL's or AMD's intellectual property is granted. ## 3. Restrictions Except for the express license, reasonable backups, independently applicable third-party licenses or rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, you must not duplicate, modify, create derivative works of, redistribute, publish, display, sublicense, assign or transfer the Component, or reverse engineer, disassemble or decompile it. Preserve copyright and ownership notices. Do not use its confidential information to develop inventions for patent protection, analyze patents or patent applications, or modify existing patents. These restrictions concern the Component, not your independent work or ordinary sharing of your own task inputs and results through an ASL fleet. ## 4. Ownership and voluntary feedback ASL, AMD and their licensors retain their rights in the Component and its technology. Feedback is optional. If you voluntarily provide Component feedback, you grant ASL, AMD and their affiliates a worldwide, nonexclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, license, distribute and commercialize it and the intellectual-property rights required for those uses, without an obligation to identify or compensate you. Do not provide feedback you lack authority to license or that imposes conflicting third-party licensing obligations. Private files and task results are not feedback merely because you use the software; this clause does not authorize their collection. ## 5. Updates and support These terms cover the original Component and later updates you install, use or access unless a replacement agreement expressly governs an update. ASL, AMD and their licensors do not promise Component maintenance, updates or support under these supplemental terms. A separate written ASL support commitment retains its own terms. Other software and permissions Third-party and open-source components retain their specific notices and licenses, which control conflicts concerning those components. You remain responsible for any third-party rights required for your use. Installing this adapter does not grant rights to redistribute an AMD driver or SDK, or a patent license for media technologies. ## 7. Confidential information Protect nonpublic Component material and associated information supplied as confidential with reasonable care. Disclose it only for authorized use to employees or contractors with a need to know who are bound to protect it. You are responsible for their compliance. Information already lawfully public, independently developed, or lawfully obtained without a confidentiality duty is not made confidential by this clause. If disclosure is legally required, limit it to what is required and, where lawful, give the owner notice and a reasonable opportunity to seek protection. Your own task data is not thereby made ASL's or AMD's property. ## 8. Warranty disclaimer TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPONENT IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES FROM ASL, AMD OR THEIR LICENSORS, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NONINFRINGEMENT, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR WARRANTIES ARISING FROM TRADE OR USAGE. YOU ASSUME THE RISK OF COMPONENT USE. MANDATORY CONSUMER GUARANTEES AND RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED REMAIN. ## 9. Liability and indemnification TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASL, AMD AND THEIR LICENSORS EXCLUDE LIABILITY FOR PUNITIVE, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS ARISING FROM THE COMPONENT OR THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING LOST DATA, PROFIT, REVENUE, OPPORTUNITY OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, REGARDLESS OF LEGAL THEORY AND EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BUT MAY LAWFULLY BE LIMITED, THEIR COMBINED AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED US$100. NOTHING EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT THE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless ASL, AMD, their licensors and their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents against third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities and reasonable defense costs resulting from your Component use, violation of these terms, or failure to obtain required third-party rights. This obligation does not apply where prohibited by mandatory law. ## 10. Export and government use Comply with applicable United States and other relevant export, re-export, import and sanctions requirements. Obtain required authorizations before transfer or access. Do not use or transfer the Component for prohibited destinations, recipients or end uses, including restricted weapons-related end uses. No historical country list replaces current requirements. For United States government acquisitions, the Component and documentation are commercial software and commercial software documentation, licensed only with the rights in this agreement, subject to applicable procurement law. Delivery does not grant greater government rights. ## 11. Termination You may end this Component license by stopping use and removing its copies. The license ends if you breach these terms, subject to mandatory notice or remedy rights. Stop using and remove the Component and confidential material provided with it when the license ends. Your own work, unrelated ASL products and independently licensed software need not be deleted. Provisions intended to survive, including ownership, confidentiality, warranty, liability, third-party protection and dispute terms, survive termination. ## 12. General terms Subject to mandatory law, Texas law governs, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the competent state courts in Travis County, Texas, or the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Mandatory consumer rights, including rights to bring proceedings elsewhere, remain. ASL or its licensors, including AMD, may seek appropriate injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or confidential material. You may not assign this agreement without ASL's written consent except where mandatory law permits. An invalid provision is limited or severed only as necessary; the remainder stays effective. No partnership or agency is created. These terms and expressly applicable product and third-party terms form the agreement about the Component. Amendments must be in writing from an authorized party; use of an update does not retroactively approve undisclosed changes. ## 13. Your choice and local record Accepting records only this terms version, its content hash and your decision time locally for the current Windows account. It does not send a message, create an ASL account, transmit task content, start monitoring or change a fan setting. Declining disables new AMD adapter reads and boosts, not unrelated features. An explicit restoration of previously saved cooling settings remains possible for safety; it is not permission to begin a new boost or sensor session.
